The new season of DC Universe's Titans is just days away, and after a battle with Trigon, everything has changed. The latest season will see new members join the ranks and a new villain to battle. And you can see it all in the latest trailer below.
The second season of Titans arrives on DC Universe on Friday, September 6. In this year's offering, Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) reforms the Titans in the official Titans Tower along with Rachel (Teagan Croft), Gar (Ryan Potter), and Jason Todd (Curran Walters) to hone and train their abilities. The group is joined by Hawk (Alan Ritchson), Dove (Minka Kelly), and Wonder Girl (Connor Leslie) this year, and there's a new villain on the horizon, Deathstroke (Esai Morales). If that wasn't enough, then fans will be pretty excited to learn that Conner Kent (Joshua Orpin) will be joining this season along with his pet dog Krypto--both were introduced in the post-credit sequence at the end of Season 1.
Yes, that was also Rose Wilson (Chelsea Zhang)--Deathstroke's daughter--in the trailer, training with Dick. Once again, the theme of family will play a major part in the season, in between people getting beaten, bloodied, and sometimes, murdered.
Titans is a darker, more adult take on DC's Teen Titans, and while that may seem unappetizing, considering the DC Cinematic Universe's darker and grittier take on superheroes, what sets Titans apart is that it's for a mature audience and doesn't pull punches. Last year, the first trailer for the series infamously featured Dick Grayson saying "F*** Batman." The tone was very fitting for the story in the first season. Hopefully, it is for the second as well.
Titans Season 2 comes to DC Universe on September 6.
