Respawn Entertainment, the team behind the soon to be released Titanfall 2, is doing everything it can to make sure that their soon to be released game stands out from the competition. In the past few hours, it's been confirmed that Titanfall 2 will be getting free DLC weapons after launch, and one member of the team further elaborated on the choice and why it was made.

In a recent post on the Titanfall sub-reddit, Respawn's Josh Medina talked about the free DLC weapons, stating that the team didn't want to put anyone behind a paywall and they don't believe in the pay to win model. This is definitely great news for those planning to get into the Titanfall 2 multiplayer mode, as players will apparently equal chances to do well without having to spend additional money.

We don't want to put anyone behind a paywall it's all about keeping the community together. We don't believe in the pay to win module

Speaking about possible DLC weapons, there's the chance that the Double Barrel Shotgun may be coming in the future, as the weapon existed early on but was later removed.

This existed early on but it didn't fit in at the time maybe in the future it can come back

Titanfall 2 post launch support isn't just going to stop at free DLC content. In another post, Josh Medina teased stuff that will keep players busy.

You'll have stuff to keep you busy this time around

Additionally, Josh Medina also revealed more regarding the Bounty Hunt Banking locations. According to the developer, there will only be 2 locations per map.

  Only 2 locations per map.

Spoilers we moved most of the banks on the tech test maps lol

Titanfall 2 launches on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 28th in all regions. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
