Titan Quest clashes with factory-October 2024
Oct 17, 2024 1:27 AM

There's nothing like traveling to the ancient Wonders of the World, such as the Great Pyramids of Egypt, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and the Great Wall of China, and kicking the bejesus out of the locals in the name of saving the world.

Gamers are one step closer to achieving that satisfaction, as developer Iron Lore Entertainment and publisher THQ have announced that Titan Quest has gone gold. The debut game from the Massachusetts-based developer founded by Age of Empires cocreator Brian Sullivan hits store shelves on June 26 for the PC.

Titan Quest lets gamers run amok in mythological times and settings as they slay beast after beast and take on evil Titans that have escaped their prisons. While crawling dungeons, combing beaches, and passing through forests, players will combat gorgons, cyclopes, and just about everything else from the Ancient Greeks' Monster Manual.

The Diablo-style game will feature both a single-player mode and a cooperative mode. The story was penned by Randall Wallace, the scribe for Braveheart and Dark Angel.

Titan Quest is rated T for Teen and will retail for $49.99. For more information, check out GameSpot's previous coverage or take a test run with the game's PC demo.
