Tiberian Keeps The Heat
Tiberian Keeps The Heat-December 2024
Dec 14, 2024 6:01 AM

To no one's surprise, Electronic Arts/Westwood Studio's latest Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun stayed in the top position on the PC Data top-selling games list for the week of Aug. 29 - Sept. 4, as the slightly older Command & Conquer Platinum left the top ten. While the greater part of the list shows all the obvious best-sellers, it is interesting to find Microsoft's NFL Fever taking a firm first leap into the number 8 spot, no doubt for its attractive US$19 price and good gameplay. It is also interesting to note that Microsoft's other sports offering, NBA Inside Drive 2000, didn't make a showing on the list.

Here's a listing of the top games for the week of August 29 - September 4, 1999: Rank / Title / Publisher / Average Price

  1 / Command & Conquer 2: Tiberian Sun / Electronic Arts / $392 / MP Roller Coaster Tycoon / Hasbro Interactive / $293 / Starcraft / Havas Interactive / $364 / Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Gold Edition / Red Storm Ent. / $295 / Need For Speed 3 / Electronic Arts / $206 / Sim City 3000 / Electronic Arts / $417 / Monopoly Game / Hasbro Interactive / $188 / Microsoft NFL Fever / Microsoft / $179 / Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2 / Activision / $1910 / Half-Life / Havas Interactive / $40
