THQ has signed an agreement with game developer Paradox Development to develop the first Bass Angler Sportsman Society (BASS) fishing title for the PlayStation. The title is scheduled to hit shelves sometime in the fourth quarter of 1999.
"We've got a great team working on this title," stated Michael Rubenelli, vice president, product development, THQ. "With a talented developer like Paradox, an experienced publisher such as ourselves, and the best license in bass fishing, PlayStation enthusiasts are in for a top-notch cyber-angling experience."
THQ's fishing abilities go way back, the company has published BASS Masters Classic: Tournament Edition for the PC, BASS Masters Classic: Pro Edition, and BASS Masters Classic for the SNES and Genesis.
Will PlayStation owners bite? We'll just have to see which way the worm wiggles.
