The news that Hulk would be joining Thor for his next standalone Marvel movie was one of the most interesting pieces of superhero movie news in the last few weeks. Now actor Mark Ruffalo, who plays Bruce Banner in Marvel's films, has revealed a few more pieces of information about the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok.

　　"I think it's going to be a buddy picture with Thor and Bruce Banner," the actor told the New York Daily News, while promoting his latest movie Spotlight. "[And]I think they'll probably fight. There's no doubt, everyone wants us to fight at one point."

　　While Ruffalo admitted he didn't "really know that much about it," he did confirm the apocalyptic nature of the film's storyline. "I know that it's about [the Norse legends of] 'Ragnarok,' or the end times in the Marvel universe as it pertains to Thor, which seems to be quite the theme these days in movies," he said.

　　Earlier this month, Marvel announced that Thor: Ragnarok would be filmed in Australia, with pre-production beginning in January 2016.

　　This will be the first time that Ruffalo has appeared in any Marvel film except for the two Avengers movies. In 2008, Marvel produced The Incredible Hulk, with Edward Norton in the lead role. To date, no further Hulk movie has been produced by the studio--Universal, rather than parent company Disney, currently owns the distribution rights to any standalone Hulk films.

　　The previous Thor movie, Thor: The Dark World, was released in November 2013. It has earned more than $644 million worldwide, making it the sixth most successful of Marvel's films to date. Thor: Ragnarok is due to be released on November 3, 2017.
