The Mario Red Switch OLED console is now available. Featuring the iconic shade of red found on Mario's outfit and the specs of the premium Switch OLED, the special-edition console has arrived just two weeks ahead of the launch of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. You can purchase the brand-new console at numerous major retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart. The Mario Red Switch OLED released alongside a trio of new Switch holiday bundles.
Alternatively, you can buy the new console as part of a bundle for $400 at Costco. The bundle, which is available regardless of whether you have a Costco membership, comes with a 1-year Switch Online family membership ($35 value), a 256GB Mario-branded SanDisk microSD card, and a PowerA carrying case.
The Mario Red Edition Switch OLED features the iconic shade of red synonymous with Super Mario. If it looks familiar at first glance, that's because Nintendo released a similar Mario Red standard Switch in 2021. However, the Switch OLED iteration includes a few neat Mario Easter eggs. There's a Mario silhouette on the lower-back corner corner of the dock as well as rows of coins under the dock's back cover. The big draw is its ultra-red design. From the dock to the Joy-Con to the Switch itself, the vast majority of this new Switch OLED variation is covered in red.
Other special-edition Switch OLED consoles, such as the Tears of the Kingdom edition, cost $360, but Nintendo is selling the Mario Red model for the regular $350 price.
