Not everyone was thrilled with the main cover for id Software's new Doom, so you might have been happy to learn that the studio will also include a reverse sleeve cover for launch in May. id Software let fans vote on two options, and the winner has now been revealed. Check it out below, while the loser can be seen further down.
This cover definitely has more of a classic Doom vibe than the second option. That one was interesting in a different kind of way, in that it went with a darker overall tone and featured a skull and a pentagram on it.
People really liked the classic-looking Doom cover, as it won a margin of 68 percent to 32 percent. More than 62,000 people placed votes before everything was decided.
The new Doom launches in May for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. A beta will be held before launch, but information about when it may start has not been announced.
