Activision has confirmed that it is developing two new X-Men games for the Sony PlayStation 2 - a fighting game and an action-RPG. The company did not release any further details. The X-Men games are two of 14 titles Activision has in development for Sony's next-generation console.
"The success of X-Men Mutant Academy established Activision as a leader in bringing superhero characters to the console marketplace," stated Ron Doornink, president and COO of Activision. "With the power of the PlayStation 2 and the strength of the X-Men franchise, Activision will be able to deliver a new dimension to fighting games and launch the series into the popular action-RPG genre."
GameSpot will have further details as they become available.
