A new teaser for The Witcher Season 2 has been released. The promo focuses on the character Ciri, played by Freya Allan.
The teaser is very short and quickly cut, but we get footage of Ciri looking very different from the ethereal princess figure in Season 1. This time around, she's armored and training to become a Witcher, while Allan's voiceover states, "I need to understand." Check it out below:

The Witcher Season 2 has now finished shooting and is in post-production ahead of a release on Netflix later this year. The show also stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Eamon Farren as Cahir, and Joey Batey as Jaskier. It's based on the book series by Andrzej Sapkowski, which in turn inspired the popular video game series.
The new Witcher teaser was released as part of Netflix's Geeked Week virtual event, during which it was also announced that games developers CD Projekt Red and Netflix will co-present the first WitcherCon celebration on July 9. The announcement came with a teaser that featured both Geralt from the game series and Geralt as portrayed by Cavill.
Other Geeked Week announcements have included the first trailer for Masters of the Universe Revelations, an announcement of new Stranger Things casting and a prequel podcast, the news that its live-action Cowboy Bebop adaptation will debut this fall, and a cast announcement for the new Resident Evil show, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.
