This week, several already released games received Xbox One X updates, allowing them to take advantage of the additional power of the newly released console. The Witcher 3 still has to receive an update, but it seems like the game takes advantage of the console even without it, with a considerable performance improvement.

　　According to a video shared by NX Games, The Witcher 3 runs at 60FPS on Xbox One X most of the times without any update, which is definitely impressive, considering the game ran at 30 FPS on the original Xbox One. This is due to the fact that The Witcher 3 is the only Xbox One game that has been released without a framerate cap, making it possible to take advantage of the better hardware without any update.

　　The Witcher 3 Xbox One X update is going to add a lot of enhancements to the game, such as a resolution increase, higher quality shadows and more.

　　With the additional power of the Xbox One X, we are able to deliver The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in 4K, while providing numerous visual tweaks such as higher-quality shadows, ambient occlusion & texture filtering, as well as higher resolution textures, and an all-around performance boost.
