With the Project Scorpio full reveal being right around the corner, many are wondering how already released games will benefit from the console's power. According to a new rumor, The Witcher 3 is going to be among the games that will receive some Scorpio improvements.
A few hours ago, Jez Corden, Windows Central Senior Editor, has revealed that we might be seeing The Witcher 3 in 4K on the Scorpio. While he cannot confirm anything at the moment, he heard some interesting things on the matter which will most likely be revealed soon enough.
Jez Corden did add, however, that these improvements might be related to the boost of change-resilient games without the need for an update. This would explain why The Witcher 3 would be getting Scorpio enhancements with CDPR saying that none are planned.
Following the release of The Witcher final DLC pack, Blood & Wine, CDPR has been hard at work on GWENT and Cyberpunk 2077. According to CDPR co-founder Michał Kiciński, the game has the potential to be even bigger than Geralt's last adventure on the market.
I think that none of us expected such an unbelievable success of the game and CD Projekt itself. We’re talking about a game, that has pretty much won every single award and accolade that you can in this industry.
If we’re to expect something more, it would be even better sales of the game. My brother Adam (CD Projekt’s CEO) spoke about it at one of the investors conferences. The Witcher 3 was of course a gigantic commercial success, but in terms of sales there’s still a lot of room for growth. CD Projekt’s ambition is to catch up with the largest developers in the world in that area.
The Witcher 3 is now out on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
