Right before the release of The Witcher 3 Game of the Year Edition, CDPR released a new patch for their popular role playing game introducing a variety of fixes on all formats. Unfortunately, the update also introduced some issues that were still not fixed on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Thankfully, this will no longer be the case starting today.
A few hours ago, The Witcher 3 1.31 hotfix has been made available on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Like the PC fix released earlier this month, it fixes long loading times in dialogues in the vicinity of Hierarch Square as well as infinite loading screen occurring during the Pyres of Novigrad quest when following the thief.
The Witcher 3 Game of the Year Edition has been released at the end of August on all formats and in all regions. This new edition of the successful role playing game includes the base game as well as all the free DLC packs released last year as well as the two big expansions Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. The GOTY Edition doesn't include any other new content, so those who already purchased the additional content have no reason to get the new editions.
While no other entry of the series has been announced, players will be able to accompany Geralt of Rivia in other adventures with Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, launching on a yet to be confirmed release date on PC and consoles. In a few minutes, some lucky players will be able to try out the game before the beginning of the closed beta with the Kill the Servers test.
The Witcher 3 is now available in all regions on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
