Candyland has released a new video comparing the Original version of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, with the new Redux version. The Original was using the Unreal Engine 3, while the new Redux version was completely redone with the Unreal Engine 4, for the purpose of porting the game to the current-gen consoles. Needless to say that The Vanishing of Ethan Carter was both an excellent adventure, and a visually gorgeous title, which made use of photogrammetry technology to create an incredibly beautiful and realistic looking world. The same technique is used in DICE's upcoming Star Wars Battlefront.

　　We compare the graphics of Vanishing of Ethan Carter Original The vs. Redux on PC. Vanishing of Ethan Carter Originally The what release for PC in 2014 and based on Unreal Engine 3. The PC Redux version is based on Unreal Engine 4 - it is free for all who already own the game. It does not come as an update but as a separate game in the Steam library. Both versions look incredible, some of the differences are in lighting, shaders and reflections. So There Seems to be better options in the AA Redux version. Both versions are set to max settings, BUT Redux version offers resolution scaling and WE DID NOT USE that, Because it disabled Light Shafts / God Rays, Although the option which activated in the settings menu. It is probably a bug.
