Deck13's sci-fi action RPG The Surge is now gold, a press release announced earlier today. Published by Focus Home Interactive, the game will be available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16th both at retail and digitally; it can be already pre-ordered on Steam for a small discount (10%) and three bonus items detailed below:

Specifically, users may choose between a quality mode (dynamic 4K@30FPS mode) and a performance mode (1080P@60FPS) thanks to a free update on launch day. High Dynamic Range (HDR) support will be added with a second update a bit after the release.

　　At Gamescom 2016, Deck13 told us that they were targeting a native 1080P resolution on PlayStation 4 and 900P on Xbox One, just like most games. Moreover, the game should last between 15 and 25 hours depending on the amount of side content completed.

　　The Surge follows in the spiritual tradition of Lords of the Fallen (also made by Deck13), though with at least one intriguing twist: players will be able to target specific parts of their enemies' bodies to get that loot they want for themselves.
