Electronic Arts' innovative virtual life game The Sims bounced back into the lead on PC Data's latest list of best-selling games, which covers the week of December 17-23, 2000. Roller Coaster Tycoon, the theme park management game from Hasbro Interactive, had dethroned The Sims in the previous week. Both games have had phenomenal sales in the past year, and perhaps it isn't a coincidence that both games have had the support of at least one expansion pack since the original games' releases. A number of value-priced games made it into the latest list as well: Who Wants to Be a Millionaire 2nd Edition took third place with an approximate retail price of US$19; EA's Sim Theme Park, at $18, took seventh place; and Infogrames' Deer Hunter 4 snuck into tenth place, carrying a price of just $16.
