The Sims hangs on to March
The Sims hangs on to March-October 2024
Oct 20, 2024 10:13 PM

NPD Intelect has released its list of best-selling games for the month of March 2001. Although several popular games were released in March, such as Lionhead's Black and White, The Sims: House Party virtual-life game expansion, and Sierra's team-based shooter Tribes 2, most of them were released at the end of the month and didn't have a full month to rack up sales. As a result, the top three spots on the March list look just like the top spots from the month before--The Sims in first place, The Sims: Livin' Large in second, and Roller Coaster Tycoon in third. Black and White managed to grab fourth place, despite having less than a week of sales count toward the monthly total. House Party managed to take 10th place, and Tribes 2 came in at 11th.
