Sony has revealed the TV commercial that will air ahead of The Order: 1886's release date, highlighting the cinematic flair of Ready At Dawn's new third-person shooter.
The thirty-second spot focuses more on the game's character, setting, and visual splendor, as opposed to the moment-to-moment gameplay. It depicts scenes of London monuments shattered by rocket fire, as well as its quartet of heroes abseiling down an airborne Zeppelin, interspersed with fleeting shots of its mystery undead creatures. Released exclusively on PlayStation 4, The Order: 1886 launches across Europe and North America on February 20.
GameSpot's early impressions of the game were somewhat reserved, specifically with regards to its gameplay. Critic Mark Walton wrote: "Certainly, I want there to be more to The Order: 1886 than what I've seen so far, because it really is a beautiful thing to behold. A lot of love has been poured into those visuals, let's just hope by the time it sees release the same can be said for the rest of it."
