With the premiere date approaching, tickets for The Matrix Resurrections will go on sale on December 6 at 9 AM PT, according to a tweet sent out from the film's official Twitter account.
The wait has been long but is nearly over for the huge franchise's next entry, which will finally be in theaters and on HBO Max on December 22. Like many blockbusters that were navigating production during the COVID-19 pandemic, The Matrix Resurrections dealt with its share of delays--at one point last year, it was expected to be out this past May.

The Matrix: Resurrections stars Keanu Reeves, Carrie Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Watchmen), Jessica Henwick (Underwater), Ellen Hollman (Spartacus), Jonathan Groff (Mindhunter), Priyanka Chopra (We Can Be Heroes), and Daniel Bernhardt (Birds of Prey). The fourth movie in the series is directed by Lana Wachowski. Lilly Wachowski will not be working again with her sister on the latest movie, as she didn't want to step back into the world of The Matrix.
Speculation has persisted online that this film could be the start of another Matrix trilogy. While that isn't yet certain one way or another, Reeves' other big franchise John Wick will be getting a prequel TV series titled The Continental. Release dates for The Continental and John Wick 4 have not been announced yet.
