The Last of Us Part I’s Huge 1.0.4 PC Update Offers CPU/GPU Optimization, AMD Fixes, More-September 2024
Sep 22, 2024 6:21 AM

The Last of Us Part I launched on PC in rough shape last month, with players complaining of exceptionally long shader loading times, crashes, camera jitters, poor performance, and other assorted issues. Thankfully Naughty Dog and port developer Iron Galaxy have made some progress via a series of updates, and today they’ve released their biggest patch yet.

The Last of Us Part I PC update 1.0.4 promises to optimize CPU and GPU use, boost the game’s fidelity on lower settings, improve shader building, deal with various issues connected to AMD processors, and more. The update is a beefy one, weighing in at over 25 GB, so it's likely packing even more tweaks than Naughty Dog explicitly spells out. You can check out the full patch notes for The Last of Us Part I 1.0.4, below.
