ESPN, who earlier this year included the latest iteration of Call of Duty at it's annual X-Games event in Dallas, Texas, have today announced that they will, in collaboration with Valve, be airing the remaining matches of the fourth International Dota 2 Championship tournament live on ESPN 3. This also includes an exclusive grand finals pre-show that will be aired on ESPN 2 and will feature analysis of the two teams locking horns in the grand finals, as well as provide a look at the entire tournament as a whole.
"From the success of the Compendium to the collaboration with ESPN, this year's International really demonstrates how much competitive gaming has grown to rival traditional sports," said Erik Johnson of Valve. "We believe the teams have also pushed to a new level of play this year and will further demonstrate the incredible advances made across this tournament since it first began three short years ago. - Erik Johnson of Valve
Aside from the live game-to-game broadcast offered by ESPN 3, the event will also be made readily available online on WatchEspn.com, as well as its corresponding app, which is available to tablets, the Xbox 360/One video game consoles, Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV amongst others.
The playoffs of TI4 begin tomorrow at 18:00 CEST/09:00 PDT, starting with EG vs. DK. TI4 will be concluding on the 21st of July.
