The first-ever televised computer and video games championships is currently in production and scheduled to debut next year. The Olympic-style tournament will be split into 13 weekly episodes featuring qualifying and semifinal rounds in different genres on both PC and console game systems, culminating in a championship title and grand prize of $100,000.
The Electronic Games is in production at Zymo Entertainment, a company that includes documentary director Curt Apduhan and advertising director Joe Kawasaki.
