The moment fans have been waiting for is finally here. Jon Snow and his army take on Ramsey Bolton in order to reclaim Winterfell under the Stark banner. This episode revolved around this epic and intense battle.

　　Game of Thrones has proved time and time again that Ramsey Bolton is a monster. He finally gets what he deserves this week in one of the most intense episodes of the show to date. Jon Snow meets Bolton the day before the battle, outside of Winterfell. Snow wants to fight Bolton one-on-one, since Bolton's army is massive compared to Snow's. Of course, Bolton scoffs at the idea.

　　The next day, the battle kicks off with Bolton's army staring down Snow's. Ramsey presents Rickon Stark, bound in rope. Bolton pulls out a knife and frees Stark. Next, Bolton tells Rickon to run to his brother for his freedom. It's not going to be that easy, and as Rickon runs towards freedom, Snow rides to meet his brother. While that happens, Bolton fires arrows at the young Stark, and hits him on the fourth try, just has Snow reaches him. Another Stark is dead.

　　The armies race towards each other, and Bolton, like the uncaring brute he is, has his archers fire into the battle, killing soldiers from both armies. Even with the Wildlings and their giant, Wun Weg Wun Dar Wun, it seems as though Bolton's army is just too powerful. Just when things are looking hopeless, Sansa and Littlefinger show up with the Knights of the Vale. Now that Snow's army has the upper-hand, he, Tormund Giantsbane, and Dar Wun race towards Winterfell as Bolton and a couple of guards retreat.

　　Dar Wun busts down the door, but he ends up getting shot down by all the archers. The giant is dead. However, the rest of the army quickly follows as Snow races towards Bolton, blocking arrows with a shield. Snow pummels Bolton but doesn't give-in to killing him, once he sees Sansa watching him. Bolton is sent to the kennels and Sansa watches him get devoured by his own dogs.

　　This was easily one of the most satisfying episodes of the series. It was intense and incredibly engaging as the battle raged on and gave the viewer moments where they truly thought the battle was lost. In the end, there was nothing more satisfying than seeing Ramsey Bolton get his face ripped off by one of his own dogs.

　　Where does the story go from here? Most likely, this will be the last we'll see of Snow and company for the season, as there is a lot to wrap up next week with the rest of the cast of characters. For the first time in years, there's a sigh of relief as Jon Snow's journey back to Winterfell has come to an end. He's changed greatly since he left Winterfell to go to the Night's Watch. Now, it feels like he's home, and there's some minor resemblance to normalcy. Sadly, both Rickon and Dar Wun died during the war. However, Bolton is gone, so we should all be cheering for that.

　　Here are some other notable moments.

　　Daenerys returns to Meereen, on dragon back. The Masters demand she surrender; however, Daenerys takes to the air, her two other dragons join her, and she burns the fleet bombarding the city. An army of Dothraki enters the city, killing off Sons of the Harpy, who are slaughtering Meereen citizens in the street.Theon and Yara Greyjoy get to Meereen. They're giving Daenerys ships in order to help Yara claim ownership to the throne of the Iron Islands. Daenerys requests that the Iron Born change their ways in order to bring the world into a new era by becoming a bit more civilized. Yara reluctantly agrees.
