Tekken 7 To Get Two More Guest Characters As DLC; More Season Pass Details Revealed-October 2024
Oct 26, 2024 2:20 PM

Back in December 2015, Tekken 7 Senior Game Designer Michael Murray talked about the game's possible guest characters, noting how series creator Katsuhiro Harada isn't too fond of them, as they disrupt the series' universe balance. At the same time, it was made clear that there was the possibility of more guest characters in Tekken 7, and it seems like the team found two characters that may fit the Tekken universe as nicely as Akuma does.

Earlier today, Bandai Namco confirmed that Tekken 7 will receive two guest characters from other video games' licenses. The two characters will launch this Winter and sometime during Spring 2018.

The first batch, to be released this Summer 2017, will provide a brand-new game mode and more than 50 new costumes. The second and third batches of content, to be released respectively this Winter 2017 and next Spring 2018, will both feature one exclusive playable guest character from other videogames’ licenses with, each time, a special stage and special costumes for these guest characters. This 3 post launch pieces of content will be purchasable individually but will also be available through the Season Pass that will grant to each buyers 35 exclusive metallic costumes.

Tekken 7 launches on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 2nd. Sadly, the game won't feature any cross-platform play features due to security policies.
