Team Liquid has managed to advance to the SLTV America playoffs. After barely beating a reinvigorated eHug, the North American juggernaut was able to defeat CNB e-Sports to advance on to the semi-finals of SLTV America.
After playing two Bo1s against eHug and CNB e-Sports respectively, they will now be playing for the chance to attend the upcoming SLTV IX grand finals in Kiev. Additional games weren't needed as the fourth team in the tiebreaker, Osiris, decided to forfeit, making the tiebreaker tournament organized by SLTV a one-day event, rather than spanning it out over two days as was originally planned.
There was some controversy surrounding the final game of the evening however, as CNB had to beat Team Liquid in under 40 minutes if they were to eliminate Liquid's chances of advancing. Nevertheless, Liquid took an easy game over the Brazillian team and will now face Evil Geniuses tomorrow in the SLTV America playoffs.
