After a period of relative turmoil within the Chinese scene, where no clear favorite from the promised land of Dota 2 could truly be decided, it seems like DK have silenced any doubts as they now head in to their third tournament finals in two weeks.
Losing only one map in the group stage to their rivals in recent times, Invictus Gaming, the Asian heavyweights steamrolled through the rest of the tournament's competitors in Titan eSports and TongFu with two 2-0 sweeps. This secures Team DK an appearance in the grand finals of the tournament. iG finished in a close 2nd place finish, but experienced a total of two series that ended in draws; one against the aforementioned DK and one against TongFu who have appeared extremely inconsistent as of late but who display here that they can still compete with the best team when they're on.
Finally, after winning the ACL 2013 grand finals a mere week ago, Titan eSports took last place in the group stage, and their performance in the upcoming days in the playoffs will either answer a lot of questions, or confirm a number of suspicions about how effectively the team really functions with the rising star Galvin 'Meracle' Kang Jian in their roster compared to the roster they used at the recent ACL, where fellow Malaysian Ng 'Yamateh' Wei Poong stood in for the Singaporean carry.
