Talonsoft has announced plans to expand on the recent success of its most recent wargame title, The Operational Art of War, Volume One. Two add-ons are planned, a scenario disc set for release in August and an expansion disc to be released in November.
Created by various expert designers, the scenario disc will contain roughly 15 new scenarios in the game's original time period, 1939-1955.
The expansion disc may contain a few new scenarios, but its main feature is that it will expand the game's database back to the 1890s allowing for new additions like trench warfare, an enhanced naval combat module, and more. The time period allows conflicts such as the Boer War, the Spanish-American War, World War I, the Spanish Civil War, the Russo-Japanese War, and other conflicts.
There are also preliminary plans for a manufacturing and production module, but those plans are extremely tentative at this time.
Talonsoft's Operational Art of War is also getting a series of new patches that begins with the first arriving on Friday and will provide a multitude of fixes and user-requested features. The second or third patch will include Internet head-to-head support.
