Warcraft axed, yes. But there are still other titles Blizzard wants gamers to know about.
Blizzard Entertainment has announced today that, according to PC Data, Starcraft's debut in April made it the number one selling game - as well as number one selling PC product - in the United States during that month.
In other Starcraft news, Blizzard will release a new custom map every week, available for download from Blizzard's web site.
Aztec New Media and WizardWorks are teaming up to develop the first authorized Starcraft third-party add-on called Starcraft: Brood Wars. The expansion will contain all-new scenarios, campaigns, units, tile sets, cinematics, and multiplayer maps.
A version of Starcraft is also being developed for the Macintosh as well as the Nintendo 64 game system.
Lastly, Blizzard has stopped selling those three limited edition Starcraft boxes and will only be distributing the Protoss box as the standard, so if you have a mind for such things, run out and buy those others quick.
