Takara Rolls With Choro Q 64
Takara Rolls With Choro Q 64-October 2024
Oct 22, 2024 4:23 AM

TOKYO - Takara's popular racing series, Choro Q, is getting an N64 translation, as we have reported in previous months in GameSpot News.

The game, running at a high frame rate, with a four-player simultaneous mode, looks great. The title gets a July release in Japan.

One game mode that was previously not known will have a special Construction option. In it you can build your own tracks and race them. No doubt this will be a welcome addition for fans of the series and for people who like to look for more life in a game rather than just what's put in front of them by designers.

As for an American release, Takara told us that there are no plans to do a US version of the game at this time. However, the US market (more than the Japanese market) is in need of new titles.

Choro Q is a fun racing game that isn't a sim - and has a lot of features that make it doubly interesting to US players. It wouldn't surprise us if Takara releases it themselves in the states or licenses it out to another company to bring over.

Since most N64 titles sell a ton of units, Takara would almost be foolish not to take such a step.
