It feels like almost every day there's a new Grand Theft Auto 6 rumor. And yesterday, October 24, fans believed Rockstar Games was finally going to drop new information on the game. Spoilers: They were wrong.
PC Gamer chronicled some of the conspiracy theories tied into the October 24 reveal for GTA 6, starting with a Rockstar post on Twitter/X about Red Dead Online. Why would promotion for that game tie back into GTA 6? Well, because if you squint really hard, you're supposed to see the roman numeral six in the picture, as highlighted by a Reddit post.

Now Playing: Everything We Want in Grand Theft Auto 6
Now, it's not hard to imagine people are just having fun coming up with outlandish teases as the wait continues for GTA 6. For instance, GTA V celebrated its 10th anniversary last month, which seemed like another prime time for a big reveal. That didn't happen either. GameSpot even compiled a lot of the GTA 6 rumors last year, such as the game releasing in late 2021.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has hinted GTA 6 could launch in late 2024 or early 2025. This is because he has mentioned "a significant inflection point...which we believe will include new record levels of operating performance" for the company's fiscal 2025--which runs from April 2024 to March 2025. That optimistic projection would imply a huge game is on the way, possibly from one of the biggest franchises in gaming.
Rockstar confirmed GTA 6 was "well underway" in early 2022. However, no details were given at the time. Later in 2022, though, Rockstar was the victim of a massive GTA 6 leak that seemingly showed the game's setting as Vice City. For more, check out everything we know about GTA 6.
