Supersonic grabs Bad Day L.A. for Europe-October 2024
Oct 22, 2024 4:56 PM

London-based Supersonic Group has announced that it will be distributing the Xbox version of American McGee's Bad Day L.A. in Europe. Supersonic Group, which has done a copublishing deal with the game's developer, Enlight Software, has announced that Bad Day L.A. is on track for a Q4 2006 release.

Bad Day L.A. is the latest twisted invention of acclaimed games designer American McGee, who previously worked on Scrapland and American McGee's Alice. In the game, the player takes control of a homeless man called Anthony Williams in Los Angeles. As the city becomes overrun with natural and man-made disasters, Anthony has to become a savior for LA and save the day.

The game features a stark cartoon style and will parody films such as The Day After Tomorrow, as well as political issues such as George W. Bush and America's "climate of fear." One character, named The Sergeant, is a mindless killing machine who spouts Bush quotes and is missing an arm.

American McGee's Bad Day L.A. is also set to be released on the PC, although Supersonic has only announced distribution for the Xbox. We'll keep you up-to-date with any developments before the game's release later this year.
