Superbike 2000: Aprilia RSV 1000
Superbike 2000: Aprilia RSV 1000-October 2024
Oct 19, 2024 9:32 PM

The last bike we'll be looking at for our Superbike 2000 coverage is the Aprilia RSV 1000 from Team DeCecco Racing. This bike sports a 997cc V-twin, the largest engine of all the bikes in the SBK series. Because of its large displacement, the Aprilia is a bit heavier than the rest of the pack, and its performance suffers noticeably. Its top speed is limited to a slow 184mph, and the bike seems to bog down under heavy throttle, refusing to accelerate at an acceptable rate.

Tossing the heavy RSV 1000 into corners requires a slow hand, as it has a surprising tendency to lose rear- wheel traction under throttle and front-wheel grip under braking. Its fairly long wheelbase does make the Aprilia one of the more stable factory rides at high speeds, however, and its Brembo brakes provide adequate stopping power.

The Aprilia isn't a bad bike, but in the face of the likes of Honda's RC45 and Ducati's 996, Superbike 2000 players might want to stay away from it initially. EASports' Superbike 2000 arrives on store shelves today. We hope you've enjoyed our coverage of the game and its bikes during the last few days. Be sure to check back for our full review of the game shortly.
