With 2017 finally out of the way, Amazon's real-time dynamic chart of best selling games has stopped updating, at least for the past year.
The results showcase that PlayStation Network gift cards were the most popular product overall and the Nintendo Switch was by far the most popular console, while Sony's DualShock 4 controller just managed to narrowly beat the Xbox One controller when it comes to peripherals. When it comes to actual games, though, these were the Top 10:
Super Mario OdysseyMario Kart 8 DeluxeThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo SwitchHorizon: Zero DawnCall of Duty: WWII for the PlayStation 4Call of Duty: WWII for the Xbox OneSplatoon 2Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra MoonThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo Wii UDestiny 2 for the PlayStation 4This final chart confirms the amazing year Nintendo had with global hits such as Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Splatoon 2 (as well as Pokémon Ultra sun and Ultra Moon on the Nintendo 3DS). The other two games have been massive hits, too, with Guerrilla Games' Horizon: Zero Dawn hailed as the best exclusive game for PlayStation 4 this year and Sledgehammer Games' Call of Duty: WWII sold incredibly well. Activision doubled down on that with Bungie's Destiny 2, which outsold the original game while also providing the publisher with its best PC launch ever registered.
