Amanda Waller is getting the Alfred Pennyworth treatment from DC Comics as the brand has today revealed a forthcoming series focused on the Suicide's Squad's handler. The show, aptly titled Waller, will see Viola Davis reprise her role from the recent Suicide Squad movies dating back to 2016.
The series will act as a de facto continuation of Peacemaker while James Gunn steps away from the John Cena-led series to focus on his upcoming Superman movie. Jeremy Carver, who created the recently canceled Doom Patrol for HBO Max, is signed on as executive producer, with DCU writing veteran Christal Henry attached, too.
Viola Davis is back, and this time in the starring role.Rumors of such a project first surfaced in Spring 2022. The series has no firm release date as of yet, but is meant to debut before Gunn's massive Superman debut, Superman: Legacy.
