[UPDATE] Warner Bros. has now officially posted a trailer for Suicide Squad's extended cut.

  The original story is below.

A trailer for Suicide Squad's upcoming extended cut has come online. Among other things, it reveals more footage of Jared Leto's Joker, which is something a lot of fans asked for.

In this trailer, we see Margot Robbie putting a gun to The Joker's head before she becomes Harley Quinn. Watch the trailer below, via Batman-News.com, to see more snippets of scenes that weren't in the theatrical release.

The Extended Cut will be available on digital HD on November 15, followed by a physical release for Blu-ray on December 13.

According to Leto, the number of Joker scenes cut from Suicide Squad's theatrical version amounted to enough to fill an entire Joker movie.

"I think that I brought so much to the table in every scene, it was probably more about filtering all of the insanity," Leto said in an earlier interview. "Because I wanted to give a lot of options, and I think there's probably enough footage in this film for a Joker movie.

Robbie added that she and Leto filmed many flashback sequences for Harley and Joker. While the backstory sequences were powerful, according to Robbie, they did not push the story forward and could have in fact "confused" the present-day storyline.

Critics might not have loved Suicide Squad, but it made more than $739 million at the box office, according to Box Office Mojo. Naturally, a sequel is believed to be in the works.
