The recently released PC castle simulation game Stronghold 2 has received a second round of patches today. The newly released patches will update Stronghold 2 to version 1.2, from either the 1.0 shipping version or the already-patched 1.1 version of the game. Both patches are available on GameSpot DLX.
This update adds a number of tweaks to the multiplayer portions of the game, including the addition of a "kick player" feature and password protection for online games. The patch also fixes a memory leak that was plaguing some high-end systems and decreasing the overall memory footprint of Stronghold 2.
Despite receiving relatively lackluster reviews, Stronghold 2 took the number six spot on the April PC game sales chart as tracked by the NPD Group. Currently, Stronghold 2 is selling above both Half-Life 2 and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.
