Global Star and Firefly Studios today announced the sequel to the PC strategy game Stronghold. Stronghold 2 will let players once again construct medieval castles and wage campaigns of siege warfare against enemy fortifications when it is released in early 2005.
The biggest change from the original game will be the new 3D engine, which should be able to render thousands of units onscreen at one time. The sequel will also feature a construction-oriented "castle life" campaign, a new single-player campaign, and improved multiplayer capability.
