After Street Fighter 3's disappointing job at getting fans energized again about the series, the last hope left (after Second Impact) is Street Fighter Zero 3 (the Zero series is known as the Street Fighter Alpha series in the US). Finally, the first glimpses of the game are being given to gamers through Gamest magazine, which has an extensive feature on SFZ 3. We'll have more information and pictures of the game soon, but here's what's currently known about it.

　　Confirmed characters are: Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Nash, Adon, Sodom, Guy, Birdie, Rose, M. Bison, Sagat, Dan, Sakura, Rolento, Dahlsim, Zangief, Cammy, Vega, Edmund Honda, and Blanka. One new character already confirmed for the game is Karin, Sakura's rival. Two more are scheduled to be revealed in the next few weeks.

　　The game will use a new ISM system, which lets you customize the super bar between three different modes - X, W, and Z. The Z mode acts like that of Zero 2, allowing for multiple supers; the W mode allows for Custom Combos; and the X mode lets you fill up one bar for one super.

　　The Street Fighter Zero logo has also gone through a fresh redesign, and the game will apparently be running on Capcom's CPS2 board and not the CPS3 that ran SF3 and SF3:Second Impact.
