The first trailer for Stranger Things Season 2 arrived during Super Bowl LI on Sunday, confirming a Halloween premiere date. Now, some of the people involved with the upcoming season have spoken up about what viewers can expect from it and the pressure of living up to the hype.

　　Producer Shawn Levy (who is directing the Uncharted movie as well), told Entertainment Weekly that the second season has massive shoes to fill since the first season was so well-received. "That is the new challenge of Season 2: quieting the cultural noise that surrounds our show," Levy said.

　　Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin, joked that he wishes the first season wasn't as well-liked so that there wouldn't be as much pressure for Season 2. "I always joke around with [creators Matt and Ross Duffer], 'Why couldn't you make the first season just okay?' It's like ... they never expected the show to be as successful," he said.

　　Co-creator Ross Duffer said he hopes Season 2 will strike a balance between feeling familiar and pushing the show in new directions. "That's what we're trying to strike with Season 2," he said.

　　In November last year, Levy explained that Season 2's plot will showcase the main characters coming to terms with the events of Season 1. "Will Byers was in that Upside Down for a while," he said. "So Season 2 is about this determined desire to return to normalcy in Hawkins, in the Byers family, in that group of friends, and it's the struggle to reclaim normalcy and maybe the impossibility of it."

　　Season 2 will apparently be "darker and weirder" than the first season. It's also been confirmed that Millie Bobby Brown's character, Eleven, is coming back for Season 2, while we recently learned more about the character Sean Astin will play.
