One of the big announcements at Disney's D23 Expo last summer was the Star Wars themed expansions to Disneyland in California and Florida's Disney World. Concept art for the some of the potential areas were revealed in February, and now a brand-new image of the entire park has been released by the company. Check it out below:
The concept image was unveiled on Disney Park's blog. The description reads: "Nestled between towering spires of rock, this thriving port contains a seemingly familiar architecture of markets, landing zones and buildings.
"Look closely and you may find hints of some of the thrilling experiences that are coming--like the Millennium Falcon peeking out of one of the cargo bays, marking the location where guests will get the opportunity to pilot the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy. "
Star Wars lands will cover 14 acres of land at both parks. At D23, Disney boss Bob Iger explained that it would be "largest single-themed land expansions ever."
Construction is currently underway, but there is no date for when the parks will open.
