Before getting to experience the first Star Wars movie in over a decade, moviegoers will first get to see a trailer for the next Star Trek movie, Star Trek Beyond.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount will be showing the trailer with The Force Awakens when the movie debuts on December 18. The content of the trailer wasn't shared, but it'll mark the first time we've seen one for Beyond. (Earlier this year, we got a peek when some photos from the set leaked.)
Beyond is being produced by The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams' production company, Bad Robot. After directing the two most recent Star Trek movies, Abrams stepped away from the series to turn his attention to Star Wars. In his place, Justin Lin (Fast & Furious 6, True Detective) will direct the film.
Beyond, which sees Idris Elba join the existing cast of Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, and Simon Pegg, is scheduled for release on July 22, 2016.
