According to renowned journalist Jason Schreier, the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is still being worked on.

　　Some days ago we reported that development on the highly-anticipated remake of the 2003 classic has stopped. Embracer's CEO declined to comment on the matter, and Jeff Grubb recently claimed that no team is currently working on the title. "To clear it up, this game is not being worked on right now", Grubb said in his latest Game Mess Mornings live stream. "Just full stop, this game is not being worked on in any way at any studio. [...] I've looked into it, and I don't think this is news to most of you... you can piece this together if you've been listening to this. Sony stepping away and scrubbing mentions of Knights of the Old Republic from social media and YouTube. But just to 100 percent to confirm it, this game is not being worked on right now."

　　According to Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, however, this might not be entirely true as two people from developer Saber Interactive have reportedly told him that the game is still being worked on. Schreier adds that, whether it will ever come out, and in what state, are different questions.

　　"Is it alive?" and "Will it ever actually come out?" are two very different questions", the journalist wrote on the ResetEra forums when asked about the matter. "A third is "If it does ever come out, what will it actually look like?"

　　"That said, I've talked to two people at Saber who both say they're still currently working on it, so I don't believe that the comment that it isn't being worked on "in any way" right now is true."

　　On X (formerly Twitter), Schreier also said that he can't confirm whether the Remake will ever actually be released. "Can't say whether the KOTOR Remake will ever actually *come out*, but yes, two people from Saber Interactive tell me they're still on it, despite recent rumors that nobody is working on the game. (Saber took the project from Aspyr last year, as Bloomberg reported then)."
