The original Star Wars Holiday Special aired once on television and was never seen again, as it was pretty awful. However, there is a new Holiday Special coming to Disney+ with a Lego spin to it, and that means there will be a ton of jokes--many at the expense of the original special.
The new trailer for the Disney+ original reveals what we can expect from the upcoming program. Rey finds a magic crystal which allows her to travel through time and sees her to come face-to-face with others from Star Wars history. Check out the trailer below.
The official synopsis for the trailer reads, "Rey sets off on a new adventure with BB-8 to gain a deeper knowledge of the Force. At a mysterious Jedi Temple, she is hurled into a cross-timeline adventure through beloved moments in Star Wars cinematic history, coming into contact with Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan. and other iconic heroes and villains from all nine Skywalker saga films. But will she make it back in time for the Life Day feast and learn the true meaning of holiday spirit?"
The special will be mixing timelines, and that's the reason we get to see Mando and the adorable Baby Yoda--who exist pre-Force Awakens but post-Return of the Jedi. And who doesn't want more Baby Yoda in their lives?
And get ready for a huge cast of familiar names and faces. Much like the original special, many of the Star Wars actors will be voicing their characters for the special. Check out the cast list below.
