Outsidexbox has released some nice new Beta gameplay footage from the Xbox One version of Star Wars Battlefront. The gameplay is from Battlefront's Drop Zone on the volcano planet of Sullust. While Star Wars Battlefront runs at a native 720p compared to 900p on the PS4, the image quality seems to be comparable. Likely using the same quality settings as the PlayStation 4 version which according to Digital Foundry runs at an equivalent of high settings on PC. DICE seems to be targeting 60fps for both consoles and Battlefront appears to be delivering the same great gameplay experience on all three platforms. You can watch the Xbox One Drop Zone Mode gameplay footage below.
Drop Zone requires quick thinking, encouraging players to always be on their feet. Captured pods need to be defended, although static players staying close to their pod are always vulnerable to be hit by explosives or Orbital Strikes.
“This goes hand in hand with our design philosophy behind many of the game modes in Star Wars Battlefront,” Lead Level Designer Dennis Brännvall explains. “We’re promoting the idea of a fast, action-packed game where you need to be mobile and think on your feet. Camping doesn't really pay off.”
Star Wars Battlefront will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 19, 2015. We will bring you any new information on Star Wars Battlefront as soon as it becomes available.
