Digitale Spielekultur, the foundation that runs the Gamescom Awards, announced the nominees last week. The awards organization received 174 entries for the competition.

　　Gamescom Award 2015 honors the best games and products premiering at gamescom 2015. The submitted games and products are examined, evaluated and honored by an independent international jury of experts. Digital Gaming Culture Foundation organizes the award.

　　The winners have been announced and Star Wars Battlefront leads the way with five awards, followed by Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain with two. Dark Souls 3 wins best Role Playing Game, while Pro Evolution Soccer gets the Best Sports Game Award. The Best Simulation award goes to Forza Motorsport 6, and the Best Hardware/Peripheral is awarded to the HTC Vive.
