Star Wars actor John Boyega, who played Finn in The Force Awakens, would have liked for Star Wars Battlefront to have had a traditional campaign. The actor, who says he's a fan of the Battlefront franchise, talked about the subject today on Twitter.
@EAStarWars Will fans get a full on offline story mode? It's more of an enjoyable way to learn controls.

EA responded by asking if Boyega had played Battlefront's Missions, the closest thing the game has to a story mode. The actor said he had, but it still left him wanting more.
Boyega also asked if he could visit EA's headquarters in the UK, to which EA said, "sounds like a date."
@EAStarWars yeah thought it was great! But definitely leaves you wanting to engage within a narrative. Can I visit your base in the uk?

Although Battlefront does not have a single-player campaign, it's possible that the game's rumored sequels will.
Additionally, outside of the Battlefront franchise, EA is working on another Star Wars game that is being led by former Uncharted director Amy Hennig.
Just this week, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said sky is the limit for what it can achieve with the Star Wars brand, the license for which is has for the next decade.
"As everyone knows, with Star Wars, there is an unlimited amount of things you can do with the content. And as Disney starts to add more and more new content, that gives fuel to our ability to add more games around it."
