TOKYO--Square Enix has always put effort into its music operations, and the company's latest movement is the launch of a new dedicated music site, dubbed Square Enix Music. Square Enix Music's main function is the promotion of its music CDs, but the site also gives focus on the people behind the tunes.
A TV section features a streaming video in which the company's sound team production manager, Tanaka Udatsu, sheds light on various bits and pieces regarding music production. In the upcoming weeks, the section will feature him interviewing Square's music staff.
The site's Composers and Manipulators section features a list of those working in Square Enix's audio department. Visitors can click on the face of each of the employees to get additional information--such as their professional background and which games they have worked on.
The Nobuo Uematsu and Black Mages II sections have also become a part of Square Enix Music, and they can be accessed from the side menu.
