Square Enix Is “Undecided” On Bringing Dragon Quest XI Definitive Edition Content To PC, PS4 Versions-September 2024
Sep 21, 2024 4:17 PM

During yesterday's Nintendo Direct, it's been confirmed that Dragon Quest XI Definitive Edition will release on Nintendo Switch this Fall, a full year after the game released on PC and PlayStation 4. This new version of the game will come with additional content, but it seems like there's the chance that the new features will also come to the regular version of the game.

Wall Street Journal's Takashi Mochizuki spoke with Square Enix regarding the possibility of the Dragon Quest XI Definitive Edition content hitting the PS4 and PC releases. The publisher, apparently, is undecided on the matter, so nothing is set in stone as of now.

Dragon Quest XI Definitive Edition will come with an optional 2D mode which was originally included in the 3DS version, as well as fully orchestrated field and battle music, a fast-forward option to speed up combat, Japanese and English voiceovers and more. The game will also feature new story elements and new quests which will further develop the main party members.

Dragon Quest XI Definitive Edition launches on Nintendo Switch this Fall in North America and Europe. We will keep you updated on the new release as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
