Apple's two most current products, the iPhone 4 and the iPad, have sold upward of 1.7 and 3 million units, respectively. But game publisher Ubisoft is eyeing the technology maker's other product line: the Mac, for its next wave of games. Sneaking onto a Mac near you.
Buried within the French publisher's first quarter earnings report--which was essentially the same one it issued 10 days ago--were mentions of Ubisoft's successful stealth action franchises most recent entries, Splinter Cell: Conviction and Assassin's Creed II, hitting the Mac later this year.
Last month, Ubisoft answered community questions and expressed how the publisher has no intention to bring Splinter Cell Conviction to any system outside of the PC.
"Splinter Cell: conviction is a true Microsoft exclusive title and there are no plans to have Splinter Cell: Conviction on other platforms," read the official forum post.
Both titles are pegged to be released during Ubisoft's second quarter, which ends September 30. GameSpot's reviews offer a full rundown on the console versions of Assassin's Creed II and Splinter Cell: Conviction.
