Splinter Cell Chaos Theory sneaks onto the Web
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory sneaks onto the Web-January 2024
Jan 20, 2025 8:33 PM

Ubisoft has launched the official Web site for its upcoming third-person stealth title, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. The third game in the Splinter Cell series wil be released in March of 2005 for the PC, Xbox, GameCube, and PlayStation 2. An N-Gage version is also scheduled to ship at the same time.

Visitors to the site will be able to read up on information about the game, including the latest story featuring commando Sam Fisher as he slinks his way around East Asia in 2007. The site also gives a thorough rundown of the game's new features and characters. The game's trademark stunning graphics can be seen in several screenshots, and they come to life in multiple movie files. Additional extras, like wallpapers, screensavers, and concept art, will be available in the future, as the site is still under construction.

The site also features a Flash presentation that is purportedly the first of six "modules" designed to give browsers a taste of what Chaos Theory will have to offer. The first module is set in an office and has various interactive objects, such as a television and a computer. Users navigate the screen in a fashion akin to the Myst games, so they'll turn objects on, watch video presentations, and sort through top secret files. Gamers can also preview tracks from the game's soundtrack, composed by electronica artist Amon Tobin, by opening files on the office's computer.

GameSpot's previous coverage has more information on Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.
